Katja Loher’s Crossing to the Unlimited Ocean (2022) welcomed guests with an outdoor video-installation at the entrance of Untitled Art Miami Beach 2022. Featured in the Monument series, Loher’s piece was structured after a Bowerbird’s nest comprising of six video collages of her bird’s eye view green screen studio recordings superimposed over microscopic science footage. In the midst of environmental crises, Crossing to the Unlimited Ocean shares an alternative narrative of the beauties in mother nature, highlighting the artistry in the Bowerbirds’ ways of life.
