KATJA LOHER : ORBITAL MEMORY
Where does space end and imagination begin?
Katja Loher’s installation consists video spheres emerging from the wall interpreating planets in the exact order and relative distances of our solar system.
Each sphere contains a moving microcosm — intimate worlds of color, rhythm, nature, and human presence — transforming the architecture into a suspended constellation.
By translating planetary structure into living video objects, the work connects cosmic scale with human emotion and perception. The spheres appear like floating planets or memories in orbit, inviting the viewer into a contemplative journey through space, time, and interconnectedness.
The installation creates a dialogue between scientific order and poetic imagination, where the universe becomes both map and metaphor.

The 5th edition of Plankton Manifesto Menorca returns July 24–25 for two days of art, performances, floating installations, drifting projections, music, food, and celebrations by the sea. Directed by Katja Loher, this year’s edition continues its mission of making the invisible visible — transforming water, light, and landscape into immersive artistic experiences.
On Friday, July 24, the festival opens at Casabeja in Mahón with works by Katja Loher and Abdulla P A, followed by performances at a surprise location.
Saturday unfolds at the legendary P-Lab at the Dock in Sa Mesquida, where floating installations and artistic interventions activate the water throughout the day. The evening culminates in a celebration at the historic tower overlooking the sea, bringing together artists, music, and the spirit of the Mediterranean.
